DIERS pedoscan
Static and dynamic foot pressure and gait analysis process
The DIERS pedoscan system is a highly developed measurement system to record pressure and forces. The sensor technology which is used makes it possible to register tiny measurement parameters (important in children, for instance) and has a high data acquisition frequency.
The high measurement frequency and the newly developed leading vector analysis are the decisive basis for high quality individualized foot and insole treatment for patients.
- Static foot pressure measurement to record pressure conditions while standing
- Balance and coordination test
- Dynamic measurement to record pressure distribution while walking
- Recording force vectors for speed and acceleration
Clinical application in:
- Foot malpositions and foot corrections
- Diabetic foot treatment
- Insole treatment
- Gait inbalances
- Postural analysis
- Treatment with orthotics or prosthetics
- In combination with CMD
- Rapid examination progress
- Immediate documentation of results
- Can be repeated as often as desired
- Objective measurement results
- Basis for therapeutic measures and patient education resulting in higher patient compliance.
The DIERS pedoscan systems are available in the versions with 0.5 and 1.0 meters sensing length. A system with a 2 meter sensing length is in progress.
In cooperation with leading European universities from the fields of biomechanics and sports medicine, the examination results of the 4D spinal column and movement analysis, pedography and muscle strength analysis were used to develop automated and individualised training plans for patients. Dynamic measurement with the DIERS pedoscan plays a decisive role in modern insole treatment.
